My background in Focusing

I first came across Focusing in my psychotherapy training in the early 1990s. In the late 1990s I completed the Focusing Skills course with Barbara McGavin and then trained with her as a Focusing practitioner and teacher. I've done the Treasure Maps and Advanced Treasure Maps courses with Barbara and Ann Weiser Cornell and my style of Focusing is based on the Inner Relationship approach. When I was a psychotherapist and supervisor Focusing was integral to the way I worked. I try my best to maintain my Focusing partnerships, one of them with Fiona Parr, and love teaching Focusing.

TIFI certified Trainer.
Until I retired I was registered with the UK Council for Psychotherapy as a psychotherapist and supervisor.
